Hello again everyone!
I had was hoping to have some pictures for all of you today but alas I have fallen behind on painting (What a shock right?) So in an attempt to get my back on track I have decided to adopt a Tale of Four Gamers style to painting my Salamanders. The Tale of Four Gamers is a series that GW has done in the past where four people build up armies from scratch over the course of four months. Each month the players are given a goal to reach along with a bonus for extra points.

In my case I have set the goal of painting a manageable number of models that will also allow me to field a small army completely painted! My goal is as follows:

2 ten man tactical squads
1 five man Devastator squad
1 Rhino APC
1 Character (Chaplain)

Bonus (if all above models are finished before the deadline)
1 Army themed objective

My goal is to finish all of this before December 1st by then I should have a nice group of models to show you all! I will post progress photos if I am able to show everyone how I'm getting along.
See you all next time!

Getting everything ready!

Hello everyone, I'm just starting out on the blogging scene so bear with me if my methods seem odd. I have created this blog as a way of motivating myself into finally painting up a full Warhammer 40,000 army! I have played 40k for many years but I have never completed a whole army from start to finish before. Now I have decided to change that since the 6th edition rules have dropped. My army of choice in this endeavour? Salamanders Space Marines, the 2nd company to be specific. This means that I will have a total of 125+ Space Marines to build, paint, and play with when I'm done. Some of the army is already put together and just needs a good coat of paint. I will update this blog with progress reports, pictures and eventually battle reports when I get a sizeable enough force painted up. So please follow my progress towards finishing this great goal that I have set for myself and feel free to leave comments and ask questions along the way!
